Well ladies and jellyspoons, looks like we're gearing up for the season opener this weekend at Turtle Trax! Gene and crew have been putting in some extra hours to get the track ready. Lets just hope the weather holds out. Keep an eye on the weather widget to the right as well as the main page and we will post any news.
In addition to this weekend, the crew has also been working to bring lots of great new things for all you racers. For starters, how about that new layout? After the unusual amount of rain the track received in the offseason, it was decided that the track would be completely leveled and re-done. The end result speaks for it's self:

With elevation changes galore, an all new rhythm section, and fast sweeping corners; the new layout should prove quite a challenge for everyone, no matter their experience level.
Also new this year is the addition of the 2WD 13.5 SCT class. After the success of the spec slash class last year, it was only natural that many drivers would want that extra bit of horsepower. Of course, if you would like to retain the stock electronics, you are more than welcome to. Just come out and have a great time!
And last but not least, the on site hobby shop is fully stocked and ready for business! Come on in and have a look around. Turtle Trax has everything you need on race day, including food! :)
Well, I think that about wraps it up. As of right now, the season opener is scheduled for Saturday, March 13th. Gates open at 10:00 am, sign ups at 12:00 pm, and racing starts at 2:00 pm. As mentioned before, if there is any change in the schedule, we will post it here on the website, as well as on RCTech.net.
Thanks,
Keith Fitzgerald
